Cabinetry and Furniture Manufacturing Instructor

Rudyard Area Schools seeks a candidate for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Cabinetry and Furniture Manufacturing Instructor.
This position is for 2 classroom periods a day with the possibility of increasing to  4 classroom periods per day.

1. Ability to teach the district/state approved CTE curriculum.
2. Ability to plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
3. Must guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, etc. to communicate these objectives to students.
4. Must maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality about students.
5. Must demonstrate a positive attitude working with students, parents and other staff.
6. Must possess valid CTE endorsement in Woodworking or a State of Michigan teaching certificate and professional plan to obtain CTE endorsement. 
7. Must also meet highly qualified status per NCLB (No Child Left Behind) Law.
8. Must meet CTE Requirements.
9. Must work with non-CTE Woodworking courses on alignment (Feeder Program)
10. Must participate in regional and state level MITES program along with other duties set forth by administration.
