Position Details: 

The Human Resources Assistant provides support to the Human Resources department as assigned. Manages the process of criminal background checks for Genesee Intermediate School District and the constituent school districts.  Responsible for the operational activities of the GISD Davis Center reception area while maintaining the integrity of confidential personnel information.   
One (1) full-time position available; 37.5 hours per week; 52 weeks per year.
Salary commensurate with education and experience. 
Non-Union, At-Will Position
Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance after one full day of employment. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law.
Associate’s degree required. Coursework in human resources preferred.  Five or more years of related experience may meet the educational requirement.
Minimum one year of experience providing clerical support in a business or educational agency required. Experience working in a Human Resources department preferred. Demonstrated effective use of word processing, spreadsheet and database management software required.  Competent in the use of the Internet.

Applicants for Human Resources Assistant position are considered for interview only after successful completion of testing for typing at 45 wpm and a minimum of 80% in spelling and math skills. A Microsoft Word 2010 and Microsoft Excel 2010 test will also be given to determine skill level.
