GSRP Lead Teacher

Position Details: 

The Early Childhood Lead Teacher is responsible for delivering a high-quality, early education curriculum to preschool students while meeting their individual learning needs through developmentally appropriate practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans individual and group activities to stimulate growth.
  • Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal or visual instruction.
  • Develops in each pupil an awareness of his worth as an individual.
  • Encourages pupils to express themselves creatively in art, music, and dramatic play.
  • Provides appropriate climate to establish and reinforce acceptable pupil behavior, attitudes, and social skills.
  • Cooperates and seeks assistance from other professional staff members.
  • Record and enter anecdotes, level, finalize checkpoints
  • Provides individual and small group instruction.
  • Plans and coordinates the work of associate teacher, caregiver, parents, and volunteers.
  • Promotes parent participation and involvement in education activities provided for their children.
  • Works with other professional staff on curriculum studies and related committees.
  • Actively participates in regular staff and professional development activities.
  • Interact and supervise recess
  • Prep meals/clean up
  • Sanitize classroom materials
  • Maintain and meet licensing requirements

*There may be other job responsibilities that arise throughout the year as changes may occur. These will be notified to the lead teacher by the supervisor.*

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's in Early Childhood or an Elementary Teaching Certificate with ZS endorsement.
  • Proficiency with oral and written communication.
  • Effective planning and organizational abilities.
