Middle School Principal - 220 Day Contract

  • Advanced degree in Educational Leadership or its equivalent
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate
  • Valid School Administrator Certificate desired
  • Minimum four (4) years successful elementary or middle school teaching experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, supervision/evaluation and public relations
  • Ability to promote effective relationships with students, staff and community
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership that results in collaborative working relationships and student achievement gains
  • Ability to set priorities and handle complex issues and situations in a professional and confidential manner
  • Ability to organize and administer personnel and grant programs
  • Knowledge of state and federal grant programs


  • Instructional leader of the building, including direction of instructional program
  • Seek and organize active parent involvement and support of the school program
  • Develop and evaluate programs
  • Prepare and administer budgets and related business procedures
  • Assist in the development of school related extra-curricular activities for students
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent
