        Administrative Assistant – Level I

                     Child Accounting

 

 

 
 

Work Year/Hours:            12 months/8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Start Date:                       Immediately

Salary:                              $41,087 to $45,981

                                         Medical benefit package

                                         Based on a 12-month work year – 260 days

                                        Additional stipends based on Associates or Bachelors

 

NOTE:  Candidates must successfully pass a general clerical and typing test.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High School graduate:  Associates Degree preferred or equal experience in position.
  2. Advanced knowledge of PowerSchool.
  3. Training and knowledge in MSOffice applications, especially in MS Excel.
  4. Use of MS Outlook including Calendar feature.
  5. Ability to communicate with others.
  6. Experience in or ability to train and teach others.
  7. Ability to analyze instructions and data for data driven decisions.
  8. Familiar and able to report days and clock hours of instruction.
  9. Knowledge to enroll students following district procedures and entering data in PowerSchool.
  10. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  11. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written forms.
  12. Ability to perform duties with awareness and in accordance with the districts policies and applicable laws.
  13. Must have the ability to work without direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Pupil Accounting MSBO Certification preferred.
  2. Knowledge of State of Michigan Pupil Accounting Manual and Pupil Auditors Manual and MDE Legislature.
  3. Familiar with CEPI applications (MSDS,GAD, Section 25e, EEM, SRM, TSDL).
  4. Familiar and able to report to CRDC, SID.
  5. Familiar with ECM, dual enrollment and Early Childhood reporting.
  6. Knowledge of the McKinney-Vento Act preferred.
  7. Knowledge of Foster Care Student requirements under the “Every Student Succeeds Act” preferred.

Job Description

  1. Provide necessary support for PowerSchool data entry and reporting.
  2. Prepare and maintain district pupil accounting reports – MSDS.
  3. Process all school of choice applications and maintain records.
  4. Process out of county release applications.
  5. Handle residency issues including affidavits, power of attorney, and intra-district transfer applications.
  6. Coordinate building membership count materials for MISD auditors
  7. Attendance at local, regional, and statewide meetings and conferences as required.
  8. Summer enrollment of elementary students
  9. SID reporting end of year
  10. All other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
