  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree and secretarial experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and personal information.
  • Skilled in the use of computer programs including Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.



  • Attend monthly board meetings and special board meetings.Type minutes for open and closed sessions.Maintain files for board agendas and minutes.
  • Preparation for board meetings: make sure members receive all the necessary material, including NEOLA updates.
  • Update all employee seniority lists as needed.
  • Responsible for the Registry of Educational Personnel Report (REP).This report is designed to collect basic employment elements relating to school personnel, including certification, school and grade/subject assignment, and length of service.REP data is submitted twice a year to CEPI (Center for Educational Performance and Information).
  • Human resource admin support.
  • Update and type administrator/teacher contracts.
  • Handle tuition reimbursement requests.
  • Enter and retrieve fingerprint information on CHRISS (Criminal History Internet Subscription Service) for all new employees and sub-teachers.Maintain fingerprint records.
  • Update and mail fundraiser letters quarterly.
  • Responsible for the SOC (Schools of Choice) program.Keep accurate records on Schools of Choice and One Year Incoming/Outgoing Students.Correspond with parents and schools throughout the year and maintain an Excel spreadsheet with students’ information.
  • Enter personnel and assigned safety training classes through SafeSchools as requested.
  • Maintain Emergency Personnel Book on all personnel.
  • Assist bus drivers daily on the two-way radio during their afternoon bus run.
  • A notary public for the district.
  • Maintain office files, including professional development files for staff.
